1933 “A HISTORY OF MISSOURI FOR HIGH SCHOOLS” BOOK BY JONAS VILES (269 PAGES)

This is a 1933 hard-cover book (see picture) entitled A HISTORY OF MISSOURI FOR HIGH SCHOOLS, written by Jonas Viles. This book, 269 pages and 14 chapters in length, chronicles Missouri from the territorial regime and preparation for statehood to the coming of the railroads and the Twentieth Century. There are a few black and white pictures, too. This book is clean and intact, exhibiting light wear and creasing from handling and storage over the past 91 years. There is some discoloration and staining in the front and back of the book, indicative of age. Except for the original owner’s name and a 1934 date in the front, and some light pencil writing on the back four pages, there appears to be no handwriting in the book. It would make a nice addition to your own collection, or it would make a wonderful gift for that Missouri high school student, Missouri historian, or vintage history book collector in your life! Postage is $5.00. And, of course I’ll combine postage on multiple purchases. Sorry, NO international shipping. Be sure to check the other items in my eBay store, too!
