Else Holmelund Minarik

Lot of two “Little Bear” books by Else Holmelund Minarek and illustrated by Maurice Sendak. The first is a hardcover ‘I Can Read’ copy of ‘A Kiss For Little Bear’, in which Little Bear’s grandmother gives Hen a kiss to take to Little Bear, but the kiss takes many detours along its way to him! The second book is a paperback ‘I Can Read’ copy of ‘Little Bear’s Visit’, which tells of Little Bear’s fondness for his grandparents, and the many stories they tell him. Both books are in good condition, and will encourage reading in young children; they contain charming illustrations by Maurice Sendak, who is well known for ‘Where The Wild Things Are’. These are vintage copies of both stories: one from 1979, the other from 2001, so they make beautiful decor, as well!
